Octopus.do for Claude

Build and edit your sitemaps straight from a conversation with Claude. Connect once, then describe what you want — it runs in your own Octopus.do account.

Octopus.do is a connector for Claude: ask for a sitemap in plain language and it is built in your own Octopus.do account — pages, blocks and wireframes included. Point it at a project you already have and it reads the structure, adds pages, or restructures the tree.

Install

Needs an Octopus.do account — a free one works.

Open in Claude

Or find it from inside Claude:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Search the directory for Octopus.do.
  3. Press Connect and sign in with your Octopus.do account.

Signing in runs over OAuth, so Claude never sees your password. One connection covers Claude on the web, desktop and mobile, as well as Claude Code and Cowork — the same directory serves all of them.

On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan you may see Request instead of Connect: members without permission to enable connectors send the request to their workspace admins, who approve it once for everyone.

What you can ask

  • Build a sitemap for a coffee subscription shop: home, shop, subscription plans, a blog and a contact page
  • What pages are in my Marketing Site project?
  • Add a Pricing page under Products, with a hero and a comparison-table block
  • Move the FAQ page so it sits under Support instead of Home
  • Reorder the pages under Blog, then delete the empty starter pages
  • Duplicate the Nordic Kitchen project and archive the original

What it can do

The tools split into two groups: reading and writing.

Reading. List your workspaces — personal and team — and the projects in them, then read one project as a tree of tabs, sections and pages. A read defaults to an outline of titles, urls and nesting, which is what most questions need; block content and wireframes are fetched only when the answer actually needs them.

Writing. Create projects, pages and content blocks, edit their titles, urls, colors and SEO notes, and move pages or blocks anywhere in the tree. A page keeps its children and blocks when it moves. Project-level actions cover duplicate, archive, move between workspaces and transfer of ownership.

In one step. A restructure that would be dozens of clicks — add several pages, re-nest a section, drop the starter pages — is applied as a single atomic change: either all of it lands, or none of it does. Claude can preview one first without writing anything.

Account and access

The connector works through your own Octopus.do account. Claude only ever sees the projects and team workspaces that account can already open, and nothing outside them.

Your plan affects what can be written, not what can be read. On a project owned by a free account, wireframes are limited to the free subset, page variants and notes are restricted, and tabs, symbols, colors and tags are unavailable. Pro, Team and Agency have the full editing surface.

Troubleshooting

An edit comes back saying a paid plan is required

The feature is gated on the plan of the project’s owner, not on whoever is asking. A project owned by a free account keeps those restrictions even inside a paid team workspace.

Deleting a page took more than the page

Deleting a page removes everything nested under it, along with its blocks, and that cannot be undone from the chat. Ask Claude to move a page rather than delete and recreate it — recreating loses the content.

Claude edited the wrong project

Projects can share a title. Name the project you mean, or ask which projects match before making changes.
