Wrapping up 2024

As we wrap up another remarkable year at Octopus, we want to thank you for being part of this journey. Oh boy, what a ride it's been - with your support, we’ve grown to over 170,000 users, all while completely bootstrapping our product.

Since January 1st, we’ve have rolled out 78 releases in total, making it almost 1.5 releases per week. And while each was essential, some deserve a special mention:

All new content planner

We released a completely redesigned content planner - you can now store files, add images, and edit text content for each page. It works very intuitively and has quickly gained popularity among our users.

Revamped editor

Editor is one of the core features of our product, and we're continuosly working on improving it for nearly two years already. Next year you will explore amazing new addons and features that will deliver next-level user experience in content planning.

Wireframes

In 2024 our wireframes library grew to 116 items, each looking consistent as alone as combined with others. Moreover, we created guidelines which make additions easier than ever.

Figma plugin

Our plugin helps designers to connect their work in Octopus with Figma instantly. You can import graphical sitemaps or create blank artboards to map your future work. We quickly gained love from the community and reached over 5,000 community users.

WordPress export

Nearly half of the internet uses WP for content management. Users now can export sitemap structure, page contents and images from Octopus directly to WordPress.

AI features, of course

Our AI assistant is a secure and simple way to speed up your work, whether you need to create an entire project, a new section for a website, or generate blocks for a single page.

Artboard attachments

Don't settle with links to file storages anymore. You can now place files, pictures, spreadsheets, always visible within your sitemap.

Publish a website

You can easily generate a clean, Notion-like website from your sitemap. It’s perfect for sharing content, navigating through pages, or using it as a knowledge base for your company.

Performance

We know that performance is a must, especially when you have hundreds of pages. In Q3 we started refactoring our code to make Octopus even faster than before. We will start rolling out the performance updates at the beginning of the new year - get ready!
