This year wasn’t the easiest as we spent tons of effort balancing between fixing things and improving performance, and shipping new features. The 2025 made us revisit our development processes to look for excessive work that else could be spent to deliver features faster.
What's really important, Octopus has reached 220 000 users — 50 000 new users in a single year 🎉. This year you created more than stunning 260 000 projects. Will all we be able to hit 1 million in 2026? We certainly hope so, and will provide all necessary means to achieve that ambitious goal.
Here are some updates that define the 2025:
Publish wizard
We started the year with a logical continuation of the Publish feature — expanded styling options to allow users create new and distinctive designs, marking uniqueness of every project.
The Publish wizard lets you customize themes, colors, fonts, and backgrounds, making sitemaps feel more like real sites.

Performance Upgrade
For some time in the previous year, we felt that our technical debt was growing at a pace that required a major refactor work to return it to a manageable state. So, we started a major rework that continued to the spring of '25, when we shipped a big infrastructure update to make Octopus faster, more secure, and ready for what’s next.

Multiselect & Toolbar Redesign
Noticing that our users' projects become bigger each year, we couldn't ignore that bulk actions are important. Multi-select was introduced to make working with bigger projects much, much easier. User can now select several pages with a simple drag, then move, apply styling, or delete them.

Artboard comments
For almost 4 years we lived onl with blog-like comments, that live in the content view. Following our users' requests for a better collaboration, artbord comments were introduced, and straight away they became equally popular. This makes discussions more visual and a lot easier when working with team members, clients, or non-logged guests.

YouTube Channel
Besides changes to the service, we had a lot of fun filming the introductory videos. This was brewing for some time, finally materialising in 2025, and now helping new user to get acqainted with the service, see most popular ways to use Octopus - check out our YouTube channel, and let us know what you'd like to see in the next series.

SEO Mode
This new mode, tailored for search engine optimisation specialists, was built entirely based on our users' feedback. It lets you view, edit, and export all SEO tags in one dedicated place. After releasing the faeature, we collected additional requests to extend the list of attributes, which we put on the roadmap for 2026.

Figma Export Hit 13,000 Users
Our Figma plugin reached a big milestone, and is used by more than 13 000 people. The best part is that it's entirely free, and smooths transition from one tool to another, essential in today's web development.
New Dashboard
In November, we rolled out a new dashboard, marking our dedication to create Octopus more professional, more adjusted to everyday work. It’s not just a visual update — the whole back office was rebuilt to make future updates easier and faster.

Bold theme
We also released the Bold theme — the fourth theme has higher contrast, better readability, and available on all plans.

AI Assistant
We quietly launched our AI Assistant in beta. It’s still early, but it already helps with routine actions and quick inspiration. AI is here to stay, and we want it to enhance your work through performing bulk actions, and increasing creativity at structure creation process.

Export to XLS
Closely listening to what our users say, we closed the year by shipping one of the most requested features: export everything to Excel in a clean, familiar spreadsheet format.

Thank You
2025 was a year of solid progress and important groundwork. We often chose to fix and improve what already existed instead of chasing flashy features — and we’re confident that was the right call.
In 2026, we’ll focus even more on content planning, collaboration, and AI-powered workflows, guided by what you’ve been voting for on our public roadmap.
Thanks for being with us!
See you in 2026 👋
